The Department of Food and Nutrition Studies is an association of diverse angles in order to contribute to the health and welfare of the individual as well as the public, aiming at the efficiency of food management systems through increasingly science based dietary life management, practical use of nutrition as an aid for disease prevention and treatment, and providing balanced meals. Jangan University’s Department of Food and Nutrition Studies has 35-years of food history and plays a critical role in producing nutritionists, hygiene experts, culinary technicians, quality managers, nutrition consultants, managers of food service companies and food processing engineers through professional education and field practice in a variety of areas.
In the 21st century, changes in lifestyle and in eating habits due to economic affordability have led people's attention to Well-Being Lohas, a way to live a healthy life. As societal interest in health has been focused, the demand for professional nutritionists to manage healthy eating habits is also increasing. This program aims to cultivate professional nutritionists with theoretical and practical knowledge of food, nutrition, food service, and clinical nutrition through the basics of food and nutrition-related disciplines to in-depth study.
